About Myself

American Atheists--A List
A brief survey of American freethinkers since Franklin and Jefferson. Groups and journals are included.

Atheist Debate Points
A vigorous survey of arguments supportive of atheism that I first compiled for a member of the WMU Atheism Club in his upcoming debate with a Christian apologist. At the time I was a campus advisor of the Atheism Club.

Evolution: Its Religious Implications
I emphasize how scientific findings relevant to DNA confirm Darwinism with remarkable effectiveness by bringing genetics and biology in full accord with each other. Paradoxically, I can sympathize with Christian apologists in their opposition to Darwinism, since its verification in light of genetics does in fact almost totally eliminate any kind of scientific justification for creationism and the belief in a personal God.

Freewill: A Useful Myth
The best way to deal with the issue of free will, I suggest, is to accept the inevitability of determinism in judging others, but to treat free will as an indispensable fiction in the conduct of our own affairs. Crucial to this strategy is the assumption that its acceptance on our part has already been preordained.

Singularities Minus God (Birth, Death, Etc.)
The concept of “singularity” pertaining to the birth and death of the universe is extended to the principles of life, individual longevity, and human evolution. I summarize recent scientific findings to explore these transitional inevitabilities in an essentially godless cosmos.
